Description

Food for special medical purposes, medium chain fatty acid oil Ceres MCT 100% is intended for diet therapy of disorders of oxidation disorders of long chain fatty acids, maldigestion and fat malabsorption, with ketogenic diet and in all other cases requiring a diet with an additional need for medium chain triglycerides (MCT). Suitable for consumption by babies, children and adults. Suitable for consumption by babies, children and adults. Dosage and administration: can be used to lubricate food, as well as consume as a dressing for salads. Not suitable for frying. The amount of product recommended for consumption should be determined by a doctor or a nutritionist, depending on the age, weight and clinical condition of the patient. The amount of medium chain triglycerides (MCT) consumed should be increased gradually to prevent osmotic diarrhea, abdominal distention, abdominal pain, vomiting and headache. Caution regarding consumption: consume under the supervision of a physician. Oil is not a source of essential fatty acids and fat-soluble vitamins. May not be the only power source. The product is contraindicated for use by people who do not have the specified specific disease. Do not use parenterally. Contraindications: ketoacidosis / acidosis, decompensated liver cirrhosis, chronic kidney disease, metabolic diseases (acyl-KoA-dehydrogenase deficiency of medium-fatty acid deficiency). Expiration date: 24 months.
